METHOD FOR OBTAINING SIMPLE THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE OF GAMMA CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stereo image with a gamma camera easily in a short time by recording on pickup axes tilted right and left by an equal angle respectively from a perpendicular line to a front of a subject to be inspected by using the gamma camera. SOLUTION: Two images are picked up by a gamma camera 2 on axes 5 rotated clockwise and counterclockwise respectively by an equal angle from a perpendicular line 4 to a front of a subject 1 to be inspected. The pickup axes 5 are in a range of 10 to 30 degrees for example with respect to the front of the subject, preferably in a range of 15 to 20 degrees. Image pickup by the camera 2 is done by typically using one camera 2 for recording two images with a time interval, wherein the time interval is as short as possible in this case. Alternatively a collimator may be mounted on the camera 2 for obtaining two images simultaneously with one recording. In order to obtain a stereo image from obtained two-dimensional image data, the data is subjected to arithmetic processing by a computer to obtain a three-dimensional image, or the two-dimensional images are printed on paper or output on a CRT for stereo viewing.
