Sealing flap for vehicle body

The flap consists of a hinged cover (10) over and opening (14) in the body (12). A pretensioned spring (21) which biases it away from the closed position. The cover is hinged around an axis (16) through it, carried on an arm (18). This arm is hinged around another axis (20) outside of the cover's area. The two axes are preferably parallel to each other. The arm may also have a stop (24) which permits the cover to move out of the opening in only one direction.
