Cleaning polluted clay soil

Polluted clay is fed from the hopper (3) via the shutter (4) into the reaction chamber (7). The suction pump (10) reduces the pressure in the chamber to 0.1 bar or even 0.001 bar. The contents of the chamber are heated by microwaves from the generator (16). Water and pollutants boil at a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius or lower. The vapour is drawn off and cooled by the condenser (11). Condensate is collected in the container (12). Cooling air from the condenser is filtered (13) and returned to atmosphere. Cleaned soil is deposited in the receptacle (15).
