The pin which is of polygonal, pref. square, cross-section is split longitudinally in two parts (4,5). The pin is mounted at one end in an extension (1) of e.g. a door lock operating handle so that it rotates with it. The other end of the pin fits in the square hole in a pinion (3) or lever, so that the pinion rotates with the pin. The inside faces (7,8) of the ends of the two pin halves (4,5), which face one another, are bevelled so that a wedge-shaped opening is formed. The ends of the pin halves have protrusions (9,10) which retain the pinion. The pinion is located, at the other side, against shoulders (11,12). |
