The invention concerns di- and triglyceride mixtures which are obtained by partial transesterification of refined, predominantly saturated, vegetable oils with (a) a mixture of glycerol and fatty acids of formula (I), R<1>COOH, or its methyl esters or (b) triglycerides based on fatty acids of formula (I), in which R<1>CO stands for a C6-C10 acyl group. The mixtures are suitable as oily substances for cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations.
