Reading glasses of lorgnette type

The pair of spectacles (1) is of lorgnette type. It has a frame (1.1) with openings to accommodate left and right spectacle lenses (1.3,1.4). The spectacle frame is without hinges at the sides, temples and hooks to engage the user's ears. It has a handle (1.2) at one side. A cord (4) is fastened to the handle and is connected to a case (2). The case may be fastened to an armband (3). The mouth of the case has two small projections (2.1,2.2) which assist in keeping the spectacles in the case. In an alternative version of the spectacles, there is a hinge in the middle so that they may be folded up with the lenses together.
