The fountain comprises a pump (2) which is on the inlet side of a water container (1) and on the discharge side of a pipe (3). The pipe leads back from the container and is made from transparent hose. An air compressor (4) with adjustable pressure and delivery is connected to the pipe downstream of the pump. The diameter of the pipe is shaped so that air bubbles can be discharged in the direction of gravity. The container also contains a light source (5) and coloured, phosphorescent powder. The pump can be positioned inside the container. The container can be fastened to a support which has a number of floating pipes wound around it.
