The housing has a body (11) and a cover (12) fitted together at surfaces (11a,12a) incorporating offset grooves (15,17) which are filled with butyl rubber sealant (R). This can have sufficient area of contact within a limited space with respect to the inside walls of the grooves, to keep out water and to offer resistance to pressure fluctuations. A section of wall (14) with a deeper groove (16) extending in the axial direction prevents leakage of excess sealant from the space (S) into the body of the housing. Any excess is constrained to flow outwards along the radial outer surface of the wall.
