The invention relates to a storage and preserving arrangement for an at least partially packaged soft-solid foodstuff, comprising an enclosure for accommodating the at least partially packaged soft-solid foodstuff. The enclosure has a single opening for introduction of the at least partially packaged soft-solid foodstuff, and is dimensioned so that wall portions of the enclosure provide a substantially airtight seal around the at least partially packaged soft-solid foodstuff by engaging at least portions of the packaging of the at least partially packaged soft-solid foodstuff between the wall portions of the enclosure and the soft-solid foodstuff within the packaging.
