A labial gel (I) contains (by weight) (a) 5-10% monopropylene glycol as humectant, (b) 0.5-1.5% of a polymer of acrylic acid as gelling agent, (c) 10-15% ethanol, (d) 15-25% of a mixture of equal weights of aqueous alcohol extracts of the fresh plants Thuya occidentalis, Potentilla tormentilla and Plantago major and (e) water to 100%.
