The socket has a hollow cylinder at its upper end, a threaded shank for screwing into the ground, e.g. sand, soft soil or a lawn, a collar to limit its preparation and locking levers. Preferably, the levers can be used to help screw the socket into the ground, and the hollow cylinder has an inner diameter which is greater than normal parasol shafts and adjusted to the required size by an inner polyvinyl chloride liner.
