The method involves making a housing part in the form of a cover plate. Connecting pins (3) and the housing part (4) are made in one piece of conducting material and the connecting pieces are connected to a side wall via a U-shaped connecting piece (5). The housing part is mounted on a circuit board (2) with the housing part and connecting pins placed in defined positions. The electrical contacts are finally made between the circuit board and the connecting pins. The connecting pins and housing part are then separated during final assembly by a cutting tool.
