PURPOSE:To obtain a ceramics material of Al2O3-TiC having excellent machinability and high specific resistance value by simultaneously adding additives which exhibit a sintering acceleration effect, additives which exhibit a grain growth matching effect and additives for improving the specific resistance. CONSTITUTION:One or more than one kinds among Sc2O3, La2O3, CeO2, Pr6O11, Sm2O3, Tm2O3, Yb2O3, and Lu2O3 among the oxides of rare earths are added at 1-10wt.% to 100pts.wt. essential components contg. 15-60wt.% TiC and consisting of the balance Al2O3, by which the wettability between Al2O3 and TiC is improved and, therefore, sinterability is improved. In addition, the additives which are >=1 kinds among Cr2O3, TiO2, Y2O3, and MgO and exhibit the grain growth matching effect are added at 1-5wt.% thereto to improve the workability as the small grain size structure. Furthermore, the free carbon in TiC which is the cause for the low specific resistance is brought into reaction with Si contained in SiN4 to form high-resistance SiC by adding 1-10wt.% Si3N4 thereto, by which the specific resistance is increased. |
