The method for operating a power plant system, which essentially consists of a gas-turbine group, a waste heat steam generator (15) connected to this and a steam circuit connected to the generator. A liquid amount (35) which is larger than a rated liquid amount conditioned by the exhaust gas, is circulated in a heat-exchanger stage (15c). This stage is part of the waste-heat steam generator (15), through which the exhaust gases of the gas turbine group flow. At the end of the heat-exchanger stage, the amount (36) of liquid standing above the rated liquid amount is branched away, and in at least one pressure stage (23, 25) is evaporated off. An amount of steam (41, 43) resulting from this is introduced down stream of the compressor (1), belonging to the gas turbine group process.
