PURPOSE:To obtain the title porous baked product with industrially advantage by baking a specific styrene-acrylonirile copolymer. CONSTITUTION:An acrylonitrile copolymer obtained from 50 to 80wt.% of acrylonitrile and 50 to 20wt.% of styrene by suspension polymerization in an aqueous system using a polymerization catalyst such as 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile is preoxidized at 180 to 400 deg.C for 10 to 90 minutes, when needed, in an air atmosphere, and baked at 500 to 1,500 deg.C for 5 minutes to 10 hours in an inert gas atmosphere, when needed, containing 5 to 30% of steam, CO, H2, NH3, H2S or the like. |
