Colour picture screen with constrast improving pigment

A colour picture screen has a screen coating comprising one or more green and/or red phosphors and a pigment of composition (I) Zn3-3xIn2xyGa2x-2xyS3 (I), where x = 0.2 to 0.97 exclusive and y = 0.1 to 1.0 exclusive. Also claimed is a phosphor preparation comprising a green and/or red phosphor and a phosphor coating of the above pigment (I). Preferably, the pigment is contained in a phosphor coating or in a separate colour filter layer.
