<p>PURPOSE:To omit a flexible tube for permitting high temperature exhaust gas to pass through between an engine main body and a heat exchanger by attaching the heat exchanger to the engine main body. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 4 for cooling exhaust gas is placed in a longitudinal posture between front and rear engine attaching legs 3 on one side of an engine main body 1. The upper section of the heat exchanger 4 is attached to an exhaust manifold 6 via an exhaust gas communication pipe 7 while the lower section is attached to the engine attaching leg 3 via a stay 5. By thus attaching the heat exchanger 4 to the engine main body 1, the heat exchanger 4 oscillates integrally with the engine main body 1 so that the heat exchanger 4 can be directly coupled to the exhaust gas communication pipe 7. Therefore a flexible tube can be omitted thereby reducing a space and cost.</p> |
