<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently purify water by accelerating the propagation of aerobic bacteria and holding algae to a proper propagation state by forming a granular active humic substance packed bed in an open tank having the intake part of a water source mounted to the upper part thereof and providing the return route to the water source to the water gathering part provided to the lower part of said packed bed. CONSTITUTION:A part of basin water naturally or forcibly held under an aerobic condition and receiving the irradiation with sunlight is taken in an open tank 2 from an intake pipe 3 and this taken-in basin water is passed through a packed bed 6 composed of a granular active humic substance formed in the open tank 2 to collect a part of algae or suspended substances in the basin water by the packed bed 6. At the same time, the active humic substance is gradually dissolved in the basin water while the basin water is gathered by the water gathering pipe 8 provided to the lower part of the packed bed 6 to be recirculated to the basin water from return piping 10. The propagation of aerobic bacteria in the basin water is promoted by the active humic substance to remove BOD and the abnormal accumulation of algae in the basin water is avoided to promote the symbiotic action of aerobic bacteria and algae and water is efficiently purified.</p> |
