PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the conveyability in a thermal printer by providing a high molecular weight dye image receiving layer on one side surface of a support, and providing a rear layer containing high molecular weight binder, submicron inorganic fine particles, high molecular weight acid, ionic antistatic agent and organic metal complex on the opposite side surface. SOLUTION: The thermosensitive dye transferring dye receiving element adapted to use for a thermal transfer unit comprises a high molecular weight dye image receiving layer on one side surface of a support and a rear layer containing high molecular weight binder, submicron inorganic fine particles, high molecular weight acid, ionic antistatic agent and organic metal complex on the opposite side surface. As the binder used for the rear layer, for example, poly(ethylene oxide) is used. The submicron colloidal particles preferably exhibits water dispensability and use, for example silica having a particle size of about 0.01 to 0.057μm. The acid uses poly(acrylic acid), and the agent uses an alkali metal salt. |
