PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a biodegradable sowing sheet which is a nonwoven fabric formed by thermally adhering cellulose-based fiber and biodegradable aliphatic polyester fiber in a specific combination ratio and never impedes the growth of roots and has superior water resisting property, water retaining property, and operability. SOLUTION: (A) A cellulosic fiber (of, preferably, 1.5-6 denier in fineness) such as cotton or rayon and (B) biodegradable aliphatic polyester fiber which has a 120-200 deg.C fusion point and is made of polyactic acid and/or a thermoplastic resin essentially consisting of polylactic acid are combined and thermally adhered to form the nonwoven fabric, and the combination ratio (wt.%) of the components A to B is 50/50 to 98/2. Here, the acid value of the component B is preferably <=60/(ηsp /C) (ηsp : specific viscosity, C: concentration (g/dl). |
