<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crew detector usable for an air bag system, e.g. applicable for various types of vehicle seats, for load sensors to be easily mounted thereon and with high reliability, or without fluctuation of the detection values. SOLUTION: Load sensors 4b, the required minimum number of which is two, are held by seat mounting portions 1d to mount a seat 1 on a floor 2, at the front and rear of the seat 1 on either the right or left side or at two front and rear places in the diagonal direction out of usually four places where the seat mounting portions 1d are provided. In this way, the existence or not of a crew is surely detected, independently of the seating attitude of the crew, and the complication of a structure resulting from extra load sensors and the increase of costs are prevented.</p> |
