PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the level of noise, discharged out of the indoor unit of an air-conditioning system, and improve the circulation of air in a room, equipped with the air-conditioning system. SOLUTION: The ceiling installation type indoor unit 10 of an air-conditioning system, embedded into a double ceiling or hung ceiling, is provided with a fan 11 and a heat exchanger 12, which are attached to the inside of a main body. The main body is provided with a fan main suction port 31 and a fan discharging port 32 on the bottom surface 21 thereof while the auxiliary suction port 33 of fan is provided on the side surface 22 of the main body so that air is taken into the unit from a space between the double ceilings and is conducted to the heat exchanger. Air is taken into the space between the ceilings again through the hole or the gap of the double ceilings. Noise is reduced by the auxiliary suction port of fan and the circulation of air in a room equipped with the air conditioning facility is improved. |
