CARBON DIOXIDE ADDITIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carbon dioxide additive which is provided with a carbonate and a phosphate respectively fixed to carriers and is capable of supplying carbon dioxide necessary for water plants for appreciation easily and safely only by adding into a water tank without using high pressure devices. SOLUTION: A carbonate and phosphate respectively fixed to carriers are provided. The carbonate is desirably sodium bicarbonate which is highly water soluble and shows weak alkalinity after dissolution. The phosphate is desirably the combination of disodium hydrogenphosphate and monopotassium hydrogen phosphate which is highly water soluble, shows alkalinity after dissolution and maintains the PH value by buffering opening. The carrier for the carbonate is desirably an alumina porous object from the view point of the strength in water and preventing the eutrophication of water. The carrier for the phosphate is desirably a cellulose porous object from the view point of a large fixing quantity. Fixing is desirably executed by drying after adding the carriers into the solution of the prescribed concentration of the carbonate and the phosphate.
