<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synthetic fiber for reinforcing rubber excellent in adhesiveness to rubber, to be concrete, adhesion to rubber in release between plies, maintaining essential characteristics of the synthetic fiber itself. SOLUTION: This synthetic fiber for reinforcing rubber is obtained by treating the surface of a synthetic fiber with a first treating solution containing a polyepoxide compound, a blocked isocyanate compound and/or an ethylene urea compound, a rubber latex and a silicate compound as main adhesive matrix components and then with a second treating solution containing a resorcinol/ formaldehyde precondensate, a rubber latex and a chlorophenol-based compound as main matrix components. The silicate compound contained in the first treating solution comprises silicon and magnesium as main constituent elements and the weight ratio of silicon/magnesium is 1/(0.1-1.0).</p> |
