PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for controlling the operation of a beer filtration apparatus to enable quick switching from fresh water to beer at the start of the filtering operation to reduce the generation of a mixture of beer and water and suppress the pressure fluctuation in operation. SOLUTION: When the liquid passed through the 1st stage filter 1 is changed to beer, the flow rate of the 2nd pump 72 is controlled to keep a constant pressure at the outlet of the 1st stage filter while controlling the flow rate of the 1st pump 71 to keep the flow rate at the outlet of the 1st stage filter by slowly decreasing and stopping the discharge of water from a draining line D1. When the liquid passed through the 2nd filter is changed to beer, the discharge of water from the draining line D2 is slowly decreased and stopped and the flow rate of the 2nd pump is controlled to keep a constant outlet pressure of the 1st stage filter while controlling the flow rate of the 1st pump to keep the flow rate of the outlet of the filter and the rate of flow entering into the 1st stage filter. |
