摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fine particle of a polymer which exhibits excellent dispersion stability in an ink by emulsion-polymerizing a radical polymerizable monomer contg. a compd. having a group of a salt of a carboxylic acid and a radical polymerizable unsatd. group. SOLUTION: A compd. (A) having a group of a salt of a carboxylic acid and a radical polymerizable unsatd. group and a monomer (B) having a radical polymerizable unsatd. group are emulsion polymerized to obtain a fine particle of a polymer with the group of a salt of a carboxylic acid incorporated through a covalent bond into the surface of the fine particle. Specific examples of the component (A) include compds. represented by formula I (wherein R6 represents H or methyl; and X<+> represents a monovalent metal ion or the like) or formula II. Specific examples of the component (B) include ethyl acrylate, styrene, and ethylene glycol diacrylate. Pref., the component (A) is used in an amt. of 0.05 to 5 pts.wt. based on 10 pts.wt. component (B). The resultant fine particle of a polymer, when incorporated into an ink or the like, does not cause a deterioration in a dye, a pigment or the like.</p>
