A high precision joining process for at least two parts uses a photosensitive resist as adhesive. In a first step, a layer of photosensitive resist with a defined thickness is applied on at least one of the parts. The thus obtained composite workpiece is heated up to a predetermined temperature at which the parts may still be accurately aligned with respect to each other. After the parts are joined and cooled down to a temperature at which the adhesive solidifies, a glued joint is obtained that may be either temporary or permanent. |
