PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a semiconductor ceramic composition having low resistivity at room temperature and large temperature dependence of resistivity value (B constant) at high temperature by containing a specific ingredient to lantha num cobalt oxide. SOLUTION: This is a semiconductor ceramic composition consisting of a semiconductor composition comprising lanthanum cobalt oxide having a negative temperature characteristic of resistivity and chromium oxide containing 0.005-30 mole % of chromium as a sub component. The preferable molar ratio of lanthanum to sum of cobalt and chromium is 0.999-0.50. This composition is used as a semiconductor ceramic element for inrush current blocking, delaying of motor start up, protection of a halogen lamp. The composition containing 0.5-10 mole % of chromium is especially used as an element for temperature compensation type crystal oscillator. |
