PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advance the ageing of distilled liquor stored in a glass bottle in a hermetically closed state in the same way as the distilled liquor stored in a cask by carbonizing the inside of hollow rod-shaped wood to obtain a long columnar stopper. SOLUTION: Distilled liquor such as whisky, Scotch whisky or bourbon is produced by pouring distilled colorless and transparent raw liquor into a cask of which the inside is baked to be carbonized to age the same for several years- ten years or more. The raw liquor after the completion of ageing is hermetically sealed in a glass bottle 3 in a delivery stage to be distributed but ageing is not advanced in the glass bottle 3 like a cask. Then, in order to make it possible to age distilled liquor stored in the glass bottle 3 in a hermetically closed state, the same wood as a cask is used to produce a stopper capable of being inserted into the glass bottle 3 long and the inside or outside of the stopper is heated and carbonized. This long columnar stopper is inserted into the glass bottle 3 long to be immersed in distilled liquor. By this constitution, ageing can be performed under the same storage condition as a cask. |
