PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat resistance and plasticity resistance by adopting at least one type of compound represented by a specific formula as developer for coloring in reaction with dye precursor contained in a recording layer formed on a support and incorporating at least one type of methylol fatty amide represented by a specific formula in the layer. SOLUTION: In the thermosensitive recording medium having a recording layer containing colorless or pale color dye precursor and color developing material for coloring in reaction with the precursor as main components on a support, as the developing material, at least one compound represented by a general formula is used. In the formula, X is oxygen or sulfur atom, R is phenyl group, naphthyl group or aralkyl group, Z is a lower alkyl group or electron-attracting group, n is integer of 0 to 4, p is integer of 1 to 5, and n+p<=5 is satisfied. The layer contains at least one type of methylol fatty amide represented by a formula (R1 -CONHCH2 OH). In the formula, R1 is alkyl group. |
