PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic welding method, a stable method between metallic plates. SOLUTION: In an ultrasonic welding method in which one mechanically weak metallic plate 1 is superposed on the other metallic plate 2 and welded with an anvil and a horn, the one metallic plate is formed with a protecting part 1a having a joining length and with a part 1b to be protected having a joining length without being superposed by the protecting part, and then, the protecting part is folded at a folding line 1c between both parts and superposed on the part to be protected, which is thereby sandwiched between the folding part and the other metallic plate. In addition, one metallic plate is a conductor of a flat cable while the other is a copper plate; a middle covering layer of the flat cable is left between the protecting part and the protected part, with the folding line constituting the middle covering layer. |
