<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the wear resistance and rust preventiveness of the ball hitting surface of the metallic head of an iron club or wood club and to improve the ball hitting feel thereof. SOLUTION: The head 1 of the golf club formed of a metal consists of the structure obtd. by forming a coating layer of titanium nitride on at least its ball hitting surface 5 or forming the coating layer of the titanium nitride of a prescribed thickness on the front surface side of a planar member constituting the ball hitting surface 5 and mounting the planar member at the front surface of the head 1. The head 1 of the golf club formed with a chrome plating layer as the ground surface of the coating layer of the titanium nitride is included as well.</p> |
