摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the running cost and to improve the safety by oxidation burning the air containing offensive gas and/or a volatile organic composed by an apparatus having heating means and a catalyst reaction chamber, and supplying combustible matter immediately before the chamber. SOLUTION: The air containing offensive gas and/or volatile organic compound is oxidation burned by an apparatus having a heating means 5 and a catalyst reaction chamber 8, and combustible matter is supplied immediately before the chamber 8. The offensive gas means a substrate stipulated by an offensive gas preventing law, and the volatile organic compound means VOC. The apparatus has a pretreating means 2 such as a filter, a preheating means 5 by a heat exchanger, a gas heater 6 using a burner, the reaction chamber 8 having a catalyst, and a posttreating unit 9, and a combustible matter supply means 7 having liquid and gas supply unit is provided immediately before the chamber 8. The catalyst is preferably platinum and/or palladium. The matter is preferably methane, or propane. Thus, even if heating fuel is reduced, offensive substance can be removed, thereby making it possible to reduce NOx.</p>
