PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anti-inflammatory agent useful as a cosmetic or processed food for the person of atopic constitution. SOLUTION: This anti-inflammatory agent for atopic constitution is composed mainly of an extract of Corchorus olitorius with water and/or an organic solvent or the extract and a licorice-constituting component. The agent is used as a component of a cosmetic or a processed food to obtain a product exhibiting excellent preventing and anti-inflammation effect on atopic dermatitis when applied to a person of atopic constitution, consisting of components originated from natural sources, having high safety and continuously applicable over a long period.
