PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure excellent fail-safe safety against abnormality of a proportional control valve concerning a hydraulic pressure brake device suitable as a brake device for an automobile. SOLUTION: A first linear 6A-1 to proportionally control hydraulic pressure is arranged between a brake pedal 30 and a master cylinder 18. The first linear 6A-1 generates master cylinder pressure in accordance with brake operating force or a command value supplied from an electronic control unit. The master cylinder 18 generates master cylinder pressure in accordance with working oil pressure. First and, second hydraulic pressure circuits 52-1 , 52-2 communicate to the master cylinder 18. A second linear 6A-2 to proportionally control hydraulic pressure independently of the first linear 6A is arranged in the first hydraulic pressure circuit 52-1 . |
