PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit a base holding a light source part to the car body and then simply fit a cover to the base firmly, and also simply remove the cover from the base. SOLUTION: A high mount stop lamp device for a vehicle includes a base 1 which holds a light source part 2 and is installed on a car body, and a flexible cover 3 installed on the base 1 for covering the base 1, wherein a downward projected engagement claw part 18 is formed on the front side of the base 1, a contact projecting part 20' projected upward to be brought into contact with the cover 3 is formed thereon, an engaged part 22 engaged with the engagement claw part 18 by horizontal pressing force applied to the cover 3 when it is guided by the base 1 and installed in the horizontal direction and a barrier part 21' where the contact projecting part 20' is brought into contact to get over are formed on the front end side of the cover 3, and on the other hand, a rotation regulating part engaged with the rear end side of the base 1 to check the rotation in the direction of lifting up the cover 3 is formed on the rear end side of the cover 3. |
