The system is for a windmill with a horizontal shaft. Each blade (4) hinges on the rotor hub via an axis inclined to its own length-wise one, which extends in the downstream direction of the wind from the hinge axis. The plane in which the two axes are situated is roughly parallel to the wind direction. The angle between the axes can be such that, due to variation in wind speed and direction above a predetermined wind speed the blade assumes an angle which is not exceeded by a predetermined maximum, minimising force fluctuations on the blade.
