The seat and backrest portion is swivelably mounted on a horizontal axis of the frame and consists of two mutually angled faces. It forms a rigid unit consisting of a seat and a backrest. It is swivelable about the axis to the right or left such that the two faces alternate as the seat and backrest. In the rest position, without load, the seat and backrest portion assumes automatically a V-shaped position pref. by a swivel mechanism. In the transition region between the seat and backrest may be fitted at least one outer, tubular section on the axis.
