PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composite material containing a specific binding compound of a glucoprotein to a lipid and a lipid, and useful as a platelet substitute, a diagnostic medicine for von Willebrand's factor(vWF)-deficiencies, etc., because the composite material can be combined with the vWF and form aggregates. SOLUTION: This GPIb-lipid composite material comprises (A) a binding compound of (A1 ) a glucoprotein GPIb [e.g. GPIb, itsα-chain (fragment)] to (A2 ) a lipid having functional groups such as NH2 , COOH, SH or CHO [e.g. a glucoprotein bound with a crosslinking agent, PE-N-carbonyl(amine), PE- N-(dithio)acylate, PE-N-maleimide acylate], and (B) a lipid such as a phospholipid, a glucolipid, cholesterol, a fatty acid or their derivatives. The composite material is preferably prepared in the form of liposome. |
