PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grain pattern print that has an artificial grain pattern very similar to natural grain pattern, by a method wherein the grain pattern is printed in such a way that density gradation of wood grain is very little for the aged part of growth ring pattern and remarkable for the young part of growth ring pattern. SOLUTION: A grain pattern P tree is composed by synthesizing a growth ring pattern P ring and a wood grain pattern P fiber together. The growth ring pattern P ring is a pattern of a specified cross section J of a three- dimensional tree model M and includes a young part, an aged part and a transition part between the young and aged parts. The young part is a part that is formed in the beginning of growth period, is low in density and light in color and has large cells, and the aged part is a part that is formed in the second half of the growth period, is high in density and deep in color and has little cells. The wood grain pattern P fiber is a pattern that shows fiber of a natural tree and formed by adjacently arranging a large number of linear closed regions L in the direction perpendicularly intersecting the lengthwise direction.
