Composition for making an energy-rich, plastic-deformable cake, giving the person eating it a quickly delivered supply of energy resulting in an initially high blood sugar level which decreases slowly over a long period of time, is new. The composition comprises a homogeneous mixture of 22.2 % honey, 10.8 % corn malt powder, 11.11 % porridge oats, 5.56 % sesame seeds, 5.86 % almonds (0.2-0.5 mm size) ground to a powder (0.2 mm in size), 8.35 % rose hip powder, 33.34 % small pieces of fruit (eg. apples or apricots, 4 mm in size) and 2.78 % soya bean flour, or equivalent ingredients, used to generate the high blood sugar value. The honey is mixed with the other ingredients at 60 deg C. Also claimed is the preparation of the composition, in which the honey is heated using eg. a water bath and mixed with the other ingredients whilst restricting the maximum temperature to 38 deg C, and then the mixture is removed from the vessel and used to form a sheet which is divided up into cakes. |
