PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attempt proper oscillation restraint by carrying out control of a sky-hook theory without using a damper speed sensor. SOLUTION: A damping coefficient indication signal is output to a proportional solenoid 16 of a damper 8 by correcting a target damping coefficient by dividing a speed data V corresponding to the target damping coefficient by acceleration J for division corresponding to accelerationα. As a damping coefficient of the damper 8 is in inverse proportion to damper speed against a damping coefficient of a sky-hook damper and the damper speed is roughly in proportion to the car body cross accelerationα, that is, to the acceleration J for division, it is possible to compute the damping coefficient of the damper 8 by using the acceleration J for division, to constitute the sky-hook damper and to maintain a favourable damping property. Additionally, as the favourable damping property can be secured without using a damper speed sensor, cost increase of a device is not caused and maintainability is neither spoiled.
