The fitting has a fastener section (1) for attachment to the panel and an engagement section (2) for attachment to a circular column forming part of a furniture item. The fastener section has two long legs (7,8), optionally having different lengths, between which the edge of the panel can be secured in place. The angle of wrap of the engagement section around the column is greater than 180 degrees. - The engagement section, which is fitted tightly around the column and is slightly resilient, is provided with inner and outer arms (12,13). A cavity (11) extending over a distance equal to half the height of the arm is provided in the inner arm in order to allow two fittings to be mounted at the same height on the column. - (Dwg.1/1) |
