A skateboard comprising a body providing a support surface (1) for a rider, the body being mounted on a plurality of wheels or rollers (7, 8, 11, 12). Stabilizing means (5, 6) are provided on the body, the stabilizing means being adjustable between a plurality of positions relative to the body. In at least one of the positions the stabilizing means (5, 6) extends from the body so that the amount of pitch of the body with respect to the ground is limited by engagement of the stabilizing means with the ground. The stabilizing means comprise front and rear stabilizers, which are coupled by coupling means (27, 36-39), so that adjustment of one stabilizer causes adjustment of the other stabilizer.
