The mirror system consists of a collecting mirror (l) and a diversion mirror (2). The parallel incident light from the collecting mirror is reflected on a ring-shaped area (2a) of the diversion mirror, where the light is reflected again with decreased convergence onto the collecting mirror. The light is then reflected on an area (2b) of the diversion mirror, which lies within an area, from which the light is reflected through a drill-hole (3) in the collecting mirror onto an image plane (4). A detector (5), preferably of multi anode microchannel array detector type, is positioned at the image plane. The collecting mirror and the area of the diversion mirror are hyperbolic in shape, and the separate area of the diversion mirror is formed elliptically or spherically.
