Pin and socket pipe connection two=way seal

The two-way seal is doubly sealed against fluid either from inside or from outside, using a first wedge (1) from inside to outside and a second wedge (2) from the outside inwards. The seal is also additionally centred relative the pin end of the pipe (SPITZENDE) or is fitted with a centering element placed on the base of the socket pipe (MUFFE) above the second wedge. The seal is introduced in pre-tension, the pin run in as shown and automatically centred in the socket by the seal etc and in so doing tips the first wedge over in direction (3), up-ending the second wedge until the pin reaches the base of the socket at which point the first wedge seals against outward flow of fluid as compared with the second wedge which prevents any inward flow from the outside.
