The information sign is made up of a background for fixture of a mounting plate (2), base plate (5) and a transparent cover plate (6). The information is arranged between the base plate and the cover plate. The mounting plate, base plate and cover plate are linked to one another via rotation connections (10), so that they can rotate against one another and lie parallel or on top of one another. The base plate may be the middle element with the mounting and cover plates being the upper and lower respective elements to which the base plate may be linked. At least two of the plates may be adjustable against one another, parallel, in end positions. The rotation connections may be built as hinge connections.
