Data storage technique uses nuclear or electron spin properties

Spin echo data store comprises both a process and device for storage of and reading of data in volumes or solid bodies, by the coding of data as spatially varying spin properties such as spin densities or spin relaxation times. For coding, the spins of atomic nuclei are used such as the hydrogen atom nucleus or using hyper-polarised nuclear spins. The data is stored spatially as gas bubbles in a solid body, as fluid drops in a solid body, as solid or gel particles in a solid body, in layer arrangements or as gas filled holes in solid body matrices. According to the storage method the data is read using spin resonance, nuclear spin resonance or electron spin resonance techniques, and is accessed in a disc type sequence, linear sequence, point sequence or fourier transform method.
