<p>A process for the preparation of a copolymer of carbon monoxide with an olefinically unsaturated compound, comprising copolymerizing the monomers in the presence of a Group VIII metal containing catalyst composition and in the presence of an olefinically unsaturated compound (A) which contains in its molecular structure an organic group imparting steric hindrance on the vinyl group.
