<p>A basket assembly for basketball, including a sliding member (6) and a guide member (8) attached to a bracket (5) and the rear surface of a panel (2) respectively, and mutually vertically movable between a variety of vertical adjustment positions. Abutment means (18) for limiting the downward travel of the panel include a support (28) secured to the front surface of the panel, and an arm (36) supporting the hoop around the basket (3) is hinged to said support about a horizontal axis (41) parallel to said panel. Said support and said arm have abutment means (46) enabling the operative position of the basket (3) to be determined and having surfaces at an acute angle that is open perpendicularly to said axis and engaged by a wedge (43) made of resilient material and adjustably arranged perpendicularly to said axis.</p> |
